The new iPad design is Apple's Plan B, Plan A did not gain weight

Apple's new iPad launch has been two months time,  its Retina display and high resolution of 2048x1536 is most user favorite, but recently there is news report that people see the new iPad design is not preferred, but Apple is forced to do "plan B ".

Although the new iPad has a better screen and 4G LTE technology, but new work is thicker and heavier than the old was also been criticized by the printing. Recently, analysts pointed out that Apple's original “Plan A”, the new iPad no increase weight.

DisplayMate Technologies founder, CEO and President Raymond Suonei La said he understood many insider information about the new iPad product design process.

Apple originally planned to use Sharp's a new technology, this technology enables transistors and circuit components reduce the size, improve the transmission rate and reduce the number of backlight, the screen thickness also decreases.

Apparently later Sharp's R & D and production time Inadequate, so Apple was forced to abandon the application of this technology to continue to use traditional amorphous silicon technology.

Now the new iPad we see is the implementation of the results of Plan B, its display isoutstanding, but the light transmission rate is still not satisfactory. At same time, because it requires up to twice the LED tube, so the battery weight increase of 70%.

DisplaySearch analyst Richard also agreed with this assessment. "The idea is the application of Sharp technology, it can use fewer LEDs, there is no need to increase the battery weight."

However, Apple's product design has always been the most emphasis on user experience and pleasing in appearance, to the current market feedback, Plan B also seems to be a good choice.
